Four international base-jumpers travel South Africa looking for those perfectly insane high objects. And they found them. The Fresh Air Crew followed Iro Seppanen (Finland), Jeb Corliss (USA), Omar Mei-Dan (Israel) and Yuri Kuznetsov (USSR) on their quest. The objective? To complete a road tour in South Africa of the four BASE-S being building, antenna, span and earth, and to conclude the trip with a gravity-defying wing-suit flight over the twin tiered cliffs of the Milner Amphitheater.

What is BASE JUMPING?

BASE is the acronym for Building, Antenna, Span and Earth. A BASE jumper is someone who sky-dives off these fixed objects rather than out of an aeroplane. But BASE jumping is so much more than that... To some people it is a way of life. It's a way of bringing yourself to the fine line between life and death with alarming immediacy. Yet BASE jumpers find an intense commitment to life.
