How to apply the Anti-Reflective Protective Film to the C-Pilot PRO

There are two thin clear plastic sheets stuck on either side of the Anti-Reflective Protective Film (ARPF) to protect it during transport; these will need to be removed before you apply the ARPF to the C-Pilot PRO. The ARPF itself is much thicker than these two thin clear plastic sheets, and is sticky (i.e. adhesive) on one side; this is the side that should by carefully applied to the screen of the C-Pilot PRO.

Before you apply the ARPF you must ensure that you clean the screen of the C-Pilot PRO very thoroughly using a suitable lint-free cloth. Make sure you work in a dust free area, and ensure the screen is free of any dust particles, fibres or fingerprints; the cleaner you can make it, the better it will look!

Once you have cleaned the screen, you can now apply the ARPF. You can either completely remove the thin clear plastic sheet which is stuck to the adhesive side of the ARPF before you apply it to the C-Pilot PRO, or partially remove it at first and then gradually remove the rest of it as you apply the ARPF. Be very careful to not touch the back (sticky adhesive side) of the ARPF (hold it very carefully by the sides); if you get dust particles, fibres or fingerprints on the adhesive side of the ARPF you won't be able to remove these!

You must be careful to align the ARPF correctly before you start to apply it; carefully align one edge of the ARPF to the corresponding edge of the screen of the C-Pilot PRO. Gradually apply the rest of the ARPF from one end to the other, working very slowly and carefully, rubbing away any small bubbles that might form as you go along using a suitable lint-free cloth. If you do it wrong you will get big bubbles forming under the ARPF which you may not be able to get rid of; if you do then carefully peel the ARPF back again, and reapply it more carefully this time. You can sometimes remove small bubbles near the edge of the ARPF by carefully rubbing with a suitable lint-free cloth, but not if they are too big or too far from the edges.
