10,000 kilometres by paramotor? You got to be dreaming, right? And by all accounts you are right, and that's where Ben Jordan's 2010 movie of his west to east traverse of the massive landmass of Canada is such an incredible achievement.

Ben, 29, a photographer from Toronto, is no stranger to challenge - he skateboarded across Canada a few years ago to raise awareness in young males to breast cancer in females.

He and this film embark on their next marathon adventure via an emotional, self-shot interview in the back of his old school bus moments before he’s setting off on his adventure. The energy and fear in his eyes as he gulps into the camera and states his goal of paramotoring across Canada are enough to make you decide then and there that you are going to watch this film to the end.

From there the film takes you with Ben on his epic voyage. Ever the master of public relations and with his dream of inspiring children and raising awareness to them along the way, Ben flies across Canada from school yard to summer camp landing to talk and inspire and march around with his funny aircraft on his back. Gathering local media around him like bees to honey, he arranges the children in patterns on the ground, takes off, photographs them from above and, like a modern day Peter Pan, moves on.

But don't think Dream is just about the children. there’s also some really brave flying goes on. Large sections of grizzly bear infested forests get crossed in sometimes less than ideal conditions, and even bigger sections of wide open water where an engine failure would have made for a different story altogether.

The landscape is fantastic, as is Ben’s photography of it, and the raw adventure of what he’s doing really comes through.

Dream is a beautiful production. It’s not high-tech graphics and mind-boggling camera angles like some movies, instead it’s a story of love, fear, emotion, belief and success portrayed through short, personal interviews, amusing video clips of Ben’s interaction with the world he travels through and beautiful moments meeting and inspiring groups of children along the way.

In short, Dream is a paramotor movie, a road trip, a love story and great adventure all rolled into one. As the cover states, it’s Lessons in Fear and Love.

Dream is 63 minutes long
