This Maillon is suitable for single point attachment between the harness and the reserve.

This Maillon is also suitable for attachment of the tandem paraglider to the tandem paraglider reserve.

This Maillon can be also used for attaching the harness to the risers. However, we would generally recommed that you rather use suitable Karabiners for harness to riser attachments.

This Maillon can be also used for attaching the two harness reserve shoulder straps to the two ends of the reserve bridles, however we would generally recommend using two 6.0 mm Maillon Rapide Square or Trapezoidal Stainless Steel Quick Links.

NOTE: Steel maillons are stamped with a "Working Load Limit" (WLL) corresponding to 20% of their minimum breaking strength (BL). The WLL is the maximum load the manufacturer guarantees will not deform the maillons, allowing opening of the screw closure with fingers.

WARNING: When using steel maillons, make 100% sure that they are screwed shut properly. Tightening should be done with fingers then a suitable spanner used carefully to just give them a 'nip'. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN as this will weaken the maillon! Threadlock compound or liquid is not recommended.
