The marvelous Renschler Solario is a tiny Solar-powered mini acoustic Variometer - quite unique! This unit has achieved acclaim as the ideal first Vario, but also as a perfect back-up instrument that you will never want to sell. Great pilots like Bruce Goldsmith have chosen to fly only with a Solario and a GPS when competing, so you know it does the business.

The Solario high compact and accoustic-only vario is the ideal backup vario. This high technology instrument is an asset to competition, tandem and leisure pilots alike.

The whole device is housed in a case with the dimensions of a matchbox.

Nevertheless, as a result of its advanced design, the power from its buffered photovoltaic cell is sufficient. No batteries are required and volume and ascent/descent rate threshold controls are on the back.
